Women’s tennis sophomore Jelena Vujanic accounted for Valparaiso University’s first Missouri Valley Conference title (individual or team) in any sport, winning the No. 1 singles draw of the MVC Individual Championships this fall.

Vujanic beat Bradley’s Sandra Maletin 6-1, 6-2 to take the Flight 1 Singles title, a win that accounts for the No. 2 moment of 2018 in Valpo Athletics.

The Valpo sophomore continued her strong fall by going 3-0 in the qualifying draw of the ITA Midwest Regional, then picked up a win in the first round of the main draw against a player from Michigan State. She finished the fall campaign with a 12-2 record.
