Valparaiso University will hold a USA Track and Field Level I Coaching School from October 22-24 and a USATF Officials Certification Course on Sunday, October 24 from 2:30-3:30 p.m.

These events will be led by Crusader head coach Tyler Wingard and assistant coach Aimee Dawson. Jennifer Jacobsen from Lancaster country Day and Donegal High School, and Steve Shutt, from Wittenburg University, will also instruct this three day event.

This is the third straight year Valpo has been selected to host the three day Level I School which is the first step in USA Track and Field's comprehensive coaching certification program. The course is a primer on the basics of training theory, biomechanics, physiology, psychology, and the fundamental technique and teaching progressions for all track and field events.

The officials course certifies officials for the next Olympiad (2004-2008).
