Rolf to Compete at NCAA National Indoor Meet
Tuesday, March 6, 2007
Sophomore Laura Rolf (Rochester, Mich./Lutheran Northwest) has been accepted into the 2007 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships to compete in the mile run. Rolf is one of just 16 runners who will compete in the event at the national meet.

Rolf becomes just the second Crusader athlete in program history to compete in an NCAA national meet, following in the footsteps of former Valpo All-American Collette Liss. The sophomore posted her eventual qualifying time at the Boilermaker Invitational on February 17th, winning the race with a time of 4:44.96, less than three seconds behind Liss' school record.

Rolf and the other 15 runners will take part in the prelims at 6:45 p.m. on Friday, March 9 in Fayetteville, Ark. on the campus of the University of Arkansas. The finals in the mile run will be held the next evening at 6:15 p.m.
