Meyer Earns Second Straight Academic All-District Honors

Valparaiso University junior Amanda Meyer (Hudson, Wis./Somerset H.S.) has been named to the ESPN The Magazine All-District V Women's Track and Field/Cross Country Team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) for the second straight year.

Meyer has posted a 3.93 grade point average in business management and sports management. On the track, the senior is the school record holder in the 600m run indoors was also a member of the record-holding 4x400m relays both indoors and out. She also holds school record in the outdoor pole vault.

Meyer was also an All Mid-Continent Conference selection outdoors as a sophomore and indoors as a junior.

She is now eligible for ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American consideration. In order to be eligible for Academic All-American and All-District consideration, student-athletes must be at least sophomores in both academic and athletic standing who have completed one full academic year at their nominating institution, and they must own a minimum of a 3.20 cumulative GPA. District V is made up of CoSIDA's voting members in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Manitoba, and Ontario.
