Jon Hill joined the Valpo women's basketball program as an assistant coach in June 2024. Hill came to Valpo after spending the previous two seasons as an assistant coach at Lewis University.

Hill was on staff in 2023-24 at Lewis as it posted a 23-9 record. The Flyers won the GLVC regular season championship, in the process setting a program record for GLVC wins in a single season, and went on to claim the GLVC tournament title as well, earning the conference’s automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.

In 2022-23, Hill helped lead Lewis to a 21-11 record. The Flyers finished in second place in the GLVC standings, advanced to the championship game of the GLVC Tournament and earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Prior to his time at Lewis, Hill spent two seasons on staff at Mother McAuley H.S., where he helped lead the Mighty Macs to a regional championship. Hill has over 20 seasons of coaching experience across the greater Chicagoland region, including a stint as an assistant coach at Roosevelt University, time as the head girl’s basketball coach at Thornton Fractional South H.S. and serving as an assistant director for the Example Sports AAU program which finished 2nd in the nation in 2020.

Hill's coaching career accelerated with a four-year stint as assistant boy's basketball coach at Thornwood H.S. In his four seasons at Thornwood, Hill helped the Thunderbirds post a 75-37 record and helped lead them to back-to-back regional championships.
