Morgan Schumacher joined the Valpo Athletics staff during the summer of 2024 as an assistant athletic trainer, working with the Valpo men’s basketball program while also working with women's cross country and cheer/dance. 

She arrived on Valpo’s campus after previously serving as an assistant athletic trainer at Murray State University, where she worked with the baseball and football programs from July 2023 through May 2024. She began her time in Murray, Ky. as a graduate assistant athletic trainer working with the Racers’ volleyball program from August 2021 to May 2023.

A member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association who holds numerous certifications and licenses, Schumacher gained experience as an athletic training student at Purdue University from August 2018 to May 2021. She graduated from Purdue with a bachelor’s in athletic training in May 2021 before going on to earn a master’s in human development and leadership from Murray State in May 2023.
