Taublieb Honored on NSCAA Scholar All-Region Team
Zev Taublieb was named to the NSCAA Scholar All-North/Central Region second team.

Valparaiso men’s soccer player Zev Taublieb (Malibu, Calif./Agoura) was named to the NSCAA Scholar All-North/Central Region second team on Tuesday, the organization announced.

The Crusaders’ captain was a leader on and off the field, starting in 18 games and finishing second on the team in points (eight), goals (three) and assists (two). The senior communications major made his mark in the classroom as well, notching a 3.80 GPA.

To be nominated, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) throughout his or her career; start more than 50 percent of all games and be a significant contributor to the team.

Taublieb is the fourth Crusader to be named to the Scholar All-Region Team, the first since 2011, and was one of four Horizon League student-athletes to be named to the team.
