Valparaiso University men’s soccer goalkeeper Nacho Miras (Ubeda, Spain / Nuestra Semora del Pilar) was recognized as a member of the Missouri Valley Conference All-Tournament team on Sunday.

Miras put together an impressive showing in Valpo’s MVC quarterfinal on Wednesday in Evansville, a match that saw Drake prevail 2-1 in overtime. The redshirt junior racked up eight saves, setting a season high and matching his career watermark.

Miras finished the season with a goals against average of 1.13, a mark that ranks tied for seventh in program history for single-season GAA. He also had five shutouts, a total that ranks tied for seventh in program history for shutouts in a single season.

The all-tournament team was announced following Sunday’s championship match, which saw Central Arkansas top Loyola 2-1 to win the MVC title and advance to the NCAA Tournament for the second consecutive season.
