Senior thrower Steve Bartholomew (Valparaiso, Ind./Morgan Township) added to his impressive resumé on Wednesday, as he was named the Horizon League’s Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week following the Crusaders’ first meet as a league member.

Bartholomew, a four-time All-Conference performer, was tabbed the league’s Athlete of the Week following his standout performance in the weight throw at the Redbird Open on December 8.  The senior registered a mark of 57’3 ½” in the event, taking top honors by an impressive 18 inches.

Bartholomew and the rest of the Crusader squad will return to action following the holidays when they compete at the Phoenix Invitational in Chicago, Ill. on January 19.
