The Valparaiso softball team has been named an All-Academic Team by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA), as announced by the organization today.

The Crusaders earned the academic recognition from the NFCA after posting a cumulative team GPA of 3.320 during the 2010-2011 academic year.  Valpo’s team GPA ranked 32nd nationally among Division I softball programs.  The NFCA All-America Scholar Athletes, awarded to student-athletes who maintained at least a 3.50 GPA during the school year, will be announced by the organization on Wednesday, Oct. 5.
