Valparaiso University junior Sara Silcox (Michigan City, Ind./Michigan City H.S.) has become the third straight Crusaders to earn Mid-Continent Conference Player of the Week honors after gaining the Defensive Award this week.

Valpo's libero earned All-Tournament Team honors at the NIU Comfort Inn & Suites Classic in DeKalb, Ill. over the weekend and posted three 20-dig efforts in four matches on the week. The Mid-Con leader in digs averaged 5.93 digs for the week. She had highs of 26 digs at #15 Notre Dame at in the tournament championship at Northern Illinois.

Valpo's Liz Mikos (Dundee, Ill./Jacobs H.S.) earned the defensive honor in week one, while Cyndi Norman (Minooka, Ill./Minooka H.S.) earned offensive accolades by the league last week.
