Valparaiso University head coach Keith Freeman has announced that Gina Lange has signed a National Letter of intent to play basketball for the Crusaders beginning this fall.

Lange is a 6’0” forward from Forest Lake, Minn.  A Miss Basketball nominee in the state of Minnesota, Lange scored 1,166 career points and set a school record with 693 career rebounds.  She was an Honorable Mention All-State selection and twice was named to the All-Suburban East Conference Team.  A four-year letterwinner, Lange also earned Third Team All-Metro honors in the Minneapolis area.

“We are excited to have Gina join our program,” Freeman said.  “She is one of the hardest working players I have seen in recent years coming out of high school.  She does the little things- runs the floor every time, seals at every opportunity, goes to offensive boards, and plays in the stance.  I believe she has a tremendous upside.”

Lange joins Skyler Gick and Laura Richards who signed in the fall as members of the incoming freshman class.
