Crusaders End Dual Season at UIC

Valparaiso's women's swimming and diving season ended the dual meet portion of their schedule on Saturday afternoon, dropping a double-dual meet in Chicago, Ill. The Crusaders fell 126-81 to Cleveland State and 162-66 to host Illinois-Chicago.

Allison Clark (Shorewood, Wis./Shorewood H.S.) notched the Crusaders lone victory on Saturday, touching the wall first in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:15.95. The freshman also finished runner-up in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:29.67.

Ashley Seale (Maryville, Tenn./Maryville H.S.) turned in Valpo's other second place finish on the afternoon, doing so in the 100 freestyle. Seal touched the wall in a time of 56.47 seconds, .04 seconds in front of teammate Amanda Gregory (Carmel, Ind./Carmel H.S.).

Leah Schneider (Sussex, Wis./Arrowhead H.S.) earned the Brown and Gold's only other top-three finish, with her third place finish in the 200 butterfly (2:20.57).

Valpo (2-8) will return to the pool for the final time this season February 19-21 at the Midwest Classic Championships held in Indianapolis, Ind. and hosted by IUPUI.
