Valparaiso University's Monika Danko (Northfield, Ill./New Trier H.S.) has been named the Mid-Continent Conference Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week after helping the Crusaders to a 7-0 sweep of Bradley on Sunday afternoon.

The sophomore won her sixth straight singles match 6-2, 6-1 at second singles to improve her record to 8-3 on the season. She then teamed with Christina Scala (Glenview, Ill./Glenbrook South H.S.) for an 8-3 victory at first doubles, the team's sixth straight win and eighth in their last nine contests.

Danko is the third Crusader to receive the honor this year, following Mara Sonkin (Wheaton, Ill./Warrenville South H.S.) on Oct. 2 and Scala on Oct. 16.
