Doubles play opened with Green Bay picking up a 6-0 win at No. 1. Cary Milanes (Miami, Fla./Miami Palmetto) and Paige Heuer (Munster, Ind./Munster) helped lead a determined rally, though. The young tandem collected a 6-1 win over Lauren Miketanic/Rachael Menos at No. 2. With the doubles point hanging in the balance, Megan Barthels (Grand Rapids, Mich./Catholic Central) and Michele Fredlake (South Bend, Ind./Saint Joseph's) fought for a 6-2 win at No. 3 against Maria Neff and Stephanie Londre.
Green Bay's Samm Pedersen evened the match at 1-1 with a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Barthels at No. 6. Heuer reclaimed the lead for Valpo once and for all following her 6-2, 6-4 win against Menos. Barthels drew the Brown and Gold one point closer to a victory thanks to a 6-2, 7-5 dismissal of Neff at No. 5.
Kathleen Hebble (Sellersburg, Ind./Silver Creek) clinched the win for the home team at No. 2 with a 6-4, 6-3 victory against Olivia Headford. Milanes supplied the fifth point for Valpo after she beat Miketinac 6-4, 6-1 at No. 3.
