Scored in double figures four times including a season-high 13 points in just 15 minutes of action on Dec. 6 at Central Michigan... Followed a 3-for-4 3-point showing and 11 points on Feb. 21 vs. Indiana State with a flawless 4-for-4 day from 3-point range on Feb. 24 at Murray State, posting his highest MVC scoring output with 12 points. He became the first Valpo player to go perfect from 3 with four or more attempts since Alec Peters in 2016.

Prep: Played his senior year at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School after starting his high school career at DeMatha… Played at Golden State Prep in Napa Valley, Calif. in 2022-23… Played under Mike Jones at DeMatha, a high school program with “college-level” basketball… Missed his junior year of high school basketball due to an injury, before making a comeback for his senior year at BCC… Averaged 25 points, eight rebounds and four assists at Golden State Prep.

Personal: Son of Sherman Weatherspoon III, who is a Northwest Indiana native and Gary Roosevelt product… Visits his grandmother once a year and at Valpo has the opportunity to play in front of his father’s friends and family after playing close to his mother’s family for most of his life… Lists his favorite basketball memory as a game on the AAU circuit in Atlanta when he was playing 15U when he single-handedly ran off 21 straight points… Studying sport management… Hopes to use his degree to stay around the game of basketball for a long time… Enjoys clothes, going on walks, nature and hiking.
