Valpo Men’s Swimming Places 11 on Academic All-MAC Team

The Valpo men’s swimming team was well represented as the Mid-American Conference announced its men’s swimming and diving Academic All-MAC Team on Wednesday morning, as 11 Beacons were among the 77 total honorees.


MVC to Sponsor Men's Swimming & Diving in 2024-25

The Missouri Valley Conference has announced it will sponsor men's swimming & diving for the 2024-25 season. The MVC first sponsored men's swimming a century ago, with the first championship in 1924. The MVC has not sponsored men's swimming since 2002-03. Notably, the Conference has sponsored women's swimming every year since 1983.


Eight Valpo Swimmers Named Academic All-District

The Valpo men’s and women’s swimming teams combined to have eight swimmers recognized as Academic All-District honorees as College Sports Communicators released its swimming Academic All-District rolls on Tuesday.

Senior Meet Success for Swimming Friday

The Valpo swimming senior class was recognized on Friday evening at the Valparaiso Aquatic Center prior to the final home meet of their collegiate careers, and once the swimming got underway, the Beacons enjoyed a successful meet, as the men defeated Bethel 144-76, while the women battled Bethel to a 102-102 tie. The dual meet win was the men’s fourth victory of the season, the most in a single year by a Valpo men’s team since at least 2000-01.


Oostman Named MAC Co-Swimmer of the Week

The Valpo men bested USI, 159-103, while the women edged the Screaming Eagles, 136-126.
