2024: Had a pair of PRs at the Edmunds-Wilt Invite (Dec. 9), stopping the clock in 45.94 seconds in the 300 and 1:27.30 in the 500… Posted a 400 time of 1:04.22 at the Blue Demon Alumni Classic (Jan. 26-27)… Stopped the clock in 28.58 seconds in the 200 at the GVSU Big Meet on Feb. 10, achieving a personal best… Competed in the 400 at both the MVC Indoor and Outdoor Championships.

2023: During the indoor campaign, had a season best 8.65 in the 60 (Blue Demon Alumni Classic), 28.80 in the 200 (GVSU Big Meet), 46.75 in the 300 (Blue Demon Alumni Classic) and 1:05.61 in the 400 (GVSU Bill Clinger Classic)… During the outdoor season, had a PR of 13.81 in the 100 (Elaine Leigh Invite), 28.93 in the 200 (Elaine Leigh Invite) and 1:06.64 in the 400 (Clark Wood Open)… Earned Valparaiso University Presidential Academic honors.

2022: Posted the team’s best outdoor long jump of the season at 4.46m (14-7.75) at the Valpo Invite... Also owned the squad’s best indoor 400 at 1:09.37 at the MVC Indoor Championships... Turned in a pair of PRs at the MVC Indoor Championships in the 60 (8.94) and the 400 (1:09.37) before adding two more at the MVC Outdoor Championships in the 100 (13.93) and the 200 (29.30).

Prep: Three-year high school track & field athlete… County and sectional champion… Member of National Honor Society.

Personal: Majoring in biology… Daughter of Tonikia and Frank Steans… Has five siblings: Talon Morgan, Tyla Morgan, Shia Burns, Aiya Burns and Icesa Burns… Hobbies include braiding hair, making jewelry and doing nails… Wants to be an optometrist in the future.
