Wolfenberg, who also ranks fourth in Crusader history with 634 career made field goals, averaged 21.4 points and 10.8 rebounds per game as a junior in 1971-72, marks which sit third and sixth, respectively, on Valpo’s single-season charts.  He also led the Indiana Collegiate Conference in scoring as a junior.

As a senior, Wolfenberg helped lead the Crusaders to the NCAA Great Lakes Regional, where they defeated Capital before falling to Kentucky Wesleyan.  Wolfenberg capped his career by being selected to the Indiana All-Star Team as well as the District 6 All-America squad.  He was drafted by Memphis of the ABA in the league’s 1973 supplemental draft.

A 1973 graduate of Valparaiso, Wolfenberg retired in 2011 following a lengthy career as a school administrator.
