The Valparaiso University men's golf program continued its tradition of academic excellence on Tuesday as the Beacons were recognized as a Platform Golf Team Academic Award recipient by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).
 
The Beacons were named a GCAA All-Academic Team by virtue of a team grade point average of 3.0 or above. This marks the 15th consecutive season that Valpo has garnered the all-academic distinction, including all 14 years that head coach Dave Gring has been at the helm of the program, highlighted by one GCAA National Academic Championship.
 
During Gring's tenure leading the program, the team has boasted 32 academic all-conference honorees, 31 GCAA All-American Scholars and a pair of College Sports Communicators Academic All-Americans.
