Valpo soccer junior goalkeeper Salange Bell (Montclair, N.J./Montclair Kimberly Academy [Montclair State]) has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Goalkeeper of the Week after blanking UIC in the Beacons' home finale this past Sunday.

Bell tied for MVC-high honors on the week with five saves in the clean sheet against the Flames, dealing well with a UIC attack which ended the match with 18 total shot attempts. The shutout was Bell's first within MVC play and her third overall of the season.

Bell is the third different Beacon to earn a weekly award from the MVC office this year, as Kiara Desiderio was named Player of the Week and Daisy Boardman Defender of the Week Sept. 15. She is Valpo's first Goalkeeper of the Week since Hailey Wade earned the honor Sept. 10, 2024.
