The #21 Valpo bowling team earned four wins on the second day of competition at the Bulldog Classic in San Antonio, Texas, including two victories over CUSA foes ranked among the top-10 nationally, and had two individuals place in the top-13 of the individual standings.

How It Happened
- Valpo opened the day, contested in the traditional team format, against Prairie View A&M and earned an 857-807 victory.
- The Beacons then turned their attention to a matchup with #5 Nebraska. Led by a career-best game of 264 from Alexis Wooley (Fort White, Fla./Fort White), they were able to take down the Huskers by a 1002-866 final. Maia Struble (Anchorage, Alaska/Dimond) added a 232 game to help lift Valpo to the win.
- Wooley's 264 was just four pins shy from cracking the program's individual single-game top-10 chart.
- The win over Nebraska was just the program's 13th in 71 all-time matchups.
- Valpo kept the momentum rolling with a 917-763 win over #20 UAB in the third match slot, paced by a 201 from Payton Rowley (Stewartville, Minn./Stewartville).
- It was Struble's turn for a career-best game in the fourth match slot to lead Valpo to a win over a CUSA opponent, as the senior posted a 256 in a 1030-916 victory over #8 Sam Houston State. She got plenty of help, however, as Rowley tossed a 235 and Sawyer Jones (Olympia, Wash./Olympia [Sam Houston State]) added a 203.
- The win over the Bearkats was just the 14th in program history in 50 all-time matchups and snapped an 11-match losing streak dating back to October 2017.
- Despite a game of 234 to close the day from Wooley, the Beacons fell in their finale to Jackson State, 895-885.
- Struble's average of 205.0 was good for 11th in the tournament field, and marked the second time this season she has cracked a 200 average. Meanwhile, Wooley ranked 13th with a 204.2 average — her best single-day average as a collegiate bowler.
- Valpo ended the day in seventh place in the team standings, with 9,431 pins through two days of action.
