I look forward to working alongside our student-athletes, coaches and staff to foster a strong culture of compliance and support their pursuits of excellence. I'm eager to get started and contribute to the continued success of Valpo Athletics."

While at Memphis, King served on senior staff and assisted with overall leadership of the athletic department. He was the sport administrator for men's soccer, men's and women's cross country and men's and women's track & field.
Â
"We are excited to welcome Harley to our athletics senior staff here at Valpo," Director of Athletics and Campus Recreation
Laurel Hosmer said. "His deep knowledge of the legislative climate at the NCAA Division-I level and throughout the collegiate athletics landscape will help this department be nimble in continuing to elevate the experience of our student-athletes, coaches and staff. His leadership experience at his previous institutions makes him a great fit to help us toward our mission of building lives for good."

While serving as the Associate AD for Compliance at Bowling Green, King was the sport administrator for the men's soccer program and served on the department's senior staff. His earlier career stops featured stints as Compliance Coordinator and then Director of Compliance at West Virginia and time as Interim Director of Compliance at Ohio.
