Ed Reny joined the Valpo football staff in 2019 after spending the previous two seasons at Wayne State University as the tight ends coach and assistant offensive line coach.

Reny earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing in 2017 and his master of business administration in 2019, both from Wayne State. In 2018, he helped two all-GLIAC selections in addition to instructing the team’s Offensive Rookie of the Year. In 2017, two members of the team’s offensive line earned All-Academic Excellence honors.

During his playing days, Reny was a three-year GLIAC All-Academic Team member and played in 32 games over his four seasons at Wayne State. Reny is a 2012 graduate of Dexter High School in his hometown of Dexter, Mich.

Reny and his wife Patricia were married on Saturday, July 27, 2019.
