2017: Played in one game, making his collegiate debut on Oct. 14 against Marist.

2016: Did not see action in his first year on campus... Retained four seasons of elgibility... Member of PFL Academic Honor Roll.  

Prep: A three-year letter winner for the Dukes ... three-year starter ... two-time First Team Academic All-Conference ... helped program transform from winless his freshman year to playoff qualifier each of his last two years ... team matched school record for wins in a season his junior year ... also earned four letters in wrestling and one in baseball ... an All-State athlete on the wrestling mat ... placed sixth at state meet as a senior ... member of National Honor Society.

Personal: Son of Kevin and Susan Sperling ... major is exercise science (pre-med).
