2025 (Cross Country):
Started the season with a 10th-place finish at Valpo’s Winrow Open on Aug. 29, posting a time of 18:23.21 in the 6k… Placed third of 104 on Sept. 19 at Western Michigan’s George Dales Invite, moving into the program’s all-time top 5 in the 8k during that race, topping his mark from the 2024 MVC Championship and usurping Simeon Ehm (2022) for a spot in the top five… Placed second of 167 in the gold race at Notre Dame’s Joe Piane Invite on Oct. 3, jumping from fifth to second in program history and outdoing Evan Walda’s 2023 time for the No. 2 spot in the program record book. He finished behind only Green Bay’s Noah Jahnke in the race… Led the team for the fourth straight race at Bradley’s Pink Classic on Oct. 17, finishing in the top 10 for the fourth straight race as well by placing ninth of 191 with another PR. He posted an 8k time of 24:19.76, which ranks second in the program record book and stood as his season best… Recorded his fifth straight top-10 finish by placing 10th of 95 at the MVC Championship on Oct. 31 in Evansville, earning all-conference honors by virtue of his finish. He joined Alexandra Bruno (2018 and 2019) and Eric Carothers (Spring 2021) as the only Valpo runners to earn First Team All-MVC status. He joined Bruno, Carothers, Nate Iben (Mid-Continent Conference, 1995) and Aaron Crague (Mid-Con, 1999, 2000 and 2001) as the only five runners to earn first team all-conference honors in the program’s Division-I history… Finished the season with a 10k PR of 31:21.9 on Nov. 14 at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional in Evansville, remaining fourth in program history in the 10k with a new PR and leading the team with a 45th-place finish in a 210-runner field… Was named the MVC Scholar-Athlete of the Year in addition to garner MVC Scholar-Athlete Team honors, becoming Valpo’s first MVC Scholar-Athlete of the Year in cross country since joining the league.

2024-25 (Track & Field): Set a personal best in the 1500 at the MVC Outdoor Track and Field Championships on May 17-18 with a 3:59.13… Ran an indoor personal best 8:26.61 in the indoor 3000 at the GVSU Big Meet on Feb. 14… Posted the third-best 5000m in program history and a new personal best with a 14:33.34 at the Indoor Meyo Invitational on Jan. 31- Feb. 1… Received the Valparaiso University Presidential Academic Honors Award… Was also an MVC Honor Roll student-athlete.

2024 (Cross Country): Began the season at the Winrow Valparaiso Open, running the 6k in 19:05.6 on Aug. 30… Finished 10th at the Redbird Invite, running the 8k in 24:57.5 with a PR that put him seventh in the program’s all-time record book… Ran the 8k at The Gans Creek Classic on Sep. 27 in 24:59.7… At the Wisconsin Pre National on Oct. 19, ran the 8k in 25:42.1… Ran a personal-best 24:48.9 at the MVC Championship on Nov. 1, a performance that moved him up to sixth in program history… Finished the season at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional on Nov. 15, running the 10k in 31:47.0. fourth in program history.

2024 (Track & Field) Had a personal-best indoor 3000 time of 8:43.91 on Jan. 26-27, placing fifth at the Blue Demon Alumni Classic... Had a PR of 15:00.21 in the indoor 5000 on Feb. 2-3 at the Meyo Invitational... Set a personal standard in the 1500 at the MVC Outdoor Championships with a time of 4:04.63 on May 10-12.

2023 (Cross Country): Started his collegiate career by finishing third on the team at the Valparaiso Winrow Open on Sept. 1 with a time of 18:53.5 in the 6K... Ran a 25:46.4 in his first collegiate 8K at the Redbird Invite on Sept. 15... Posted a time of 25:57.3 in the five-mile race at Notre Dame’s Joe Piane Invitational on Sept. 29... Finished the 8K in 26:15.5 at the Bradley Pink Classic... Posted an 8K time of 25:59.3 in his first MVC Championship on Oct. 27... Closed his rookie campaign with a 32:59.9 in the 10K at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional on Nov. 10.

Prep: In cross country, 2020 and 2022 Fox Valley All-Conference… Team conference champions in 2020… Three-time IHSA All-Regionals (2020, 2021, 2022; 2020 team champions), three-time IHSA All-Sectionals (2020, 2021, 2022; 2020 team champions) and three-time IHSA state qualifier (2020, 2021, 2022)… In track & field, was a four-time all-conference honoree (2020-2023), three-time all-sectional performer (2021-2023) and two-time state qualifier (2021, 2023)… Also played soccer… IHSA Academic All-State Honorable Mention… National Honor Society President… Illinois state scholar… AP Scholar with distinction… Academic All-Conference… Named Homecoming King… Was a student section leader… Performed the harmonica in Piano Man for the Mr. CLC show.

Personal: Majoring in biology/chemistry… Son of David and Kim Hollander… Has three siblings – Oliva, Maddie and Nolan… Hobbies include disc golf, spike ball and cornhole.
