2024-25 Valparaiso University Male Unsung Hero (ARC Awards)

2024-25: Earned the Valparaiso University Male Unsung Hero Award at the ARC Awards, the department’s annual postseason awards banquet… Golfed 29 rounds and posted a scoring average of 73.55, second on the team, while participating in all 10 tournaments… Finished his career with a 75.53 average over 124 rounds… Improved his scoring average by 2.57 strokes from the previous season… Had his best 54-hole tournament score of the season at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational (Sept. 30-Oct. 1), carding a 216 (E), tied for 45^th in a 104-player field… Had his highest finish of the season at t-27 with a 217 (+4) at the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate (March 23-25)… Had his season-low round of 70 (-2) in the first round of the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational on Sept. 30 and matched it in the second round of the Dorado Beach Collegiate on Feb. 24.

2023-24: Turned in a season scoring average of 76.12 while golfing 26 rounds over nine tournaments... Boasted a top-15 finish at t-14 with a 226 at the Valpo Fall Invitational in September... Had a season-low round of 71 in the second round of the Rutherford Intercollegiate on April 13... Achieved Valparaiso University Presidential Academic Honors.

2022-23: Finished with a 75.66 season scoring average while golfing in 35 rounds over 12 tournaments… Had five rounds of par or better… Stroked a season-low 70 (-2) in the second round of Advance Golf Partners (Feb. 13)… Best 54-hole score of the season came on two occasions – the Valpo Fall Invitational (Sept. 19-20) and Advance Golf Partners (Feb. 12-14), both of which featured a score of 220 (+4)… Placed 13^th of 99 in the Valpo Fall Invitational for his best finish of the year.

2021-22: Posted a season scoring average of 76.65 as a freshman... Golfed in all 13 tournaments and all 34 rounds during his freshman season... Turned in a season-best 69 (-2) in the second round of the Zach Johnson Invitational (Sept. 27-28)... Completed seven rounds of par or better... Achieved a top-10 finish at the Valpo Fall Invitational, placing eighth of 73 by finishing at 217 (+1, 70-75-72).

Prep: Three-year letter winner at Carmel… Two-time team state champion… Was a varsity member of the top-ranked team in the state in 2020 before the season was cancelled… Finished fourth in 2019 at the Indiana Boys State Junior in stroke play with a 72-71 at Purdue University and medaled in the 2020 boys state championship qualifier with a 68… Finished in the top eight in the 2020 Indiana Boys State Junior in match play and cracked the top five on five occasions in 2020 Indiana Junior Golf or Golfweek Junior Golf tournaments, including a third-place finish at the Hoosier Junior at Otter Creek… Averaged a 74.8 in stroke play competition in 2020… A state finalist in DECA, Booth owned a 3.63 cumulative grade point average… Earned Carmel High School scholar-athlete status and participated in the school’s Athlete Principle-Centered Leadership Program.
