Prep: A three-year letterwinner for the Redskins … two-time state qualifier in the 4x800m relay … finished sixth at the indoor state championships with the 4x800m relay as a senior … 4x800m sectional champion and Coaches’ Award winner as a junior … also lettered once in cross country … earned academic honors as a sophomore and as a junior.

Personal: Carmelo is the son of Carmelo and Epifania Castillo … major is civil engineering … born August 11, 1990.
