2024-25 (Track & Field): Started his season with a new personal best and second-fastest time in program history in the indoor mile with a 4:10.92 at the Notre Dame Invitational on Jan. 25… Ran a season-best 8:34.47 in the indoor 3000m at the Meyo Invitational on Jan. 31- Feb. 1… Earned MVC Honor Roll.

2024 (Cross Country): Opened the season at the Winrow Valparaiso Open, running the 6k on Aug. 30 in 18:53.4, finishing in 19^th place… Ran in the 8k at The Gans Creek Classic on Sept. 27 in 24:40.1, moving into fourth all-time in the program’s record book for the 8k…. At the Wisconsin Pre-National on Oct. 19, ran the 8k in 25:35.4… Ran a personal best at the MVC Championship on Nov. 1, running the 8k in 24:04.8 to place 20^th for the race and break the program record for fastest 8k… Finished the season out running the 10k at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional on Nov. 15 with a time of 30:53.8, breaking a program record.

2024 (Track & Field): Ranked second in program history in the 3000 steeplechase at 9:16.0, the program’s best time in that event since 1972... Had a PR of 4:20.24 in the mile on Jan. 20 at the Butler Invitational... Set a personal best at 8:34.22 in the 3000 at the Blue Demon Alumni Classic, winning the race on Jan. 26-27... PR’d in the 800 at 1:58.42 on April 19-20 at the Jesse Owens Classic... Had a PR in the 1500 at 3:53.76 and the 3000 steeplechase at 9:16.00 at the MVC Outdoor Championships on May 10-12.

2023 (Cross Country): Started the season with a 6K time of 19:17.9 at Valpo’s Winrow Open on Sept. 1... Completed the 8K in 25:26.0 at the Sept. 15 Redbird Invite... Finished out the five-mile run in 25:28.2 on Sept. 29 at Notre Dame’s Joe Piane Invitational... Clocked a 25:22.2 in the 8K at the Bradley Pink Classic... Finished the 8K in 26:03.2 at the MVC Championship on Oct. 27... Posted a 31:28.4 in the 10K at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional on Nov. 10, recording the third-fastest time in that event in program history. He was part of a trio of Beacons who all outdid the previous program record in the 10K in the same race.

2023 (Track & Field): Had his season best in the indoor 3,000 of 8:49.05 at the GVSU Big Meet… Stopped the clock in the outdoor 5,000 at 15:32.9 in the Meyo Invitational.

2022 (Cross Country): Made his collegiate debut with a 6K time of 19:11.4 at the Sept. 2 Valparaiso Winrow Open... Finished the 8K in 27:46.55 at the Spartan Invite on Sept. 16... Had a five-mile run of 26:22.9 at the Joe Piane – Notre Dame Invitational on Sept. 30... Finished the Bradley Pink Classic with an 8K of 25:23.3 on Oct. 14... Posted a 26:25.6 in the 8K on Oct. 28 at the MVC Championship... Cracked the program record book as only a freshman with the seventh-fastest 10K in program history, a time of 32:38.9 on Nov. 11 at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional.

Prep: Competed in the 2020 Shazam State Championships, where his team got second place... 2021 Apollo Conference champion... All-state honoree in IHSA Boys 2A 4x800-meter run in 2021 and 2022... Was also a member of the men’s dance team and competed in intramural basketball in high school... Member of National Honor Society... Graduated as an AP Scholar with distinction.

Personal: Majoring in mathematics... Son of Jennifer and Andrew Scheele... Has an older sister, Gretchen, and a younger sister, Isabelle... Hobbies and interests include volleyball, cornhole and card games... Has been running since middle school because his family is very running oriented. His father also ran in college and his mother does ultra-marathons.
