2023 Team Most-Improved Player Award
2025: Earned Academic All-PFL Second Team honors and recognized with CSC Academic All-District… Named the team’s Most-Improved Offensive Player… Played in all 12 games and made nine starts at quarterback… Threw for 111 yards on 8-of-15 through the air at No. 16/17 North Dakota in Week 4… Went 17-of-26 through the air for 224 yards, setting career highs in passing yards and completions, on Nov. 1 at No. 25/22 Presbyterian… Set career highs in passing yards (234) and completions (19) for the second straight week while matching a personal best with three touchdown passes on Nov. 8 vs. San Diego… Became the first Valpo player since 2022 and first Valpo QB since 2017 to be named PFL Offensive Player of the Week after leading the team to a 32-31, overtime victory over Stetson on Nov. 15. He engineered a 95-yard, game-tying drive in the final minute to cap a rally from 24-0 down to force overtime. In the extra session, Keefe scored with his legs and then threw the 2-point conversion pass for a walk-off win. That capped a day where he went 18-of-22 for 204 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions… Completed 17 passes or more in each of his final four games of the season including 18 for 184 yards in the Nov. 22 finale at Butler. In that game, he had an 80-yard run that was Valpo’s longest since 2022 and tied for the 23rd longest nationally in FCS in 2025, fifth longest by a QB. It was the longest rush by any PFL player all season.
2024: Played in three games and made two starts at quarterback… Went 9-of-26 through the air… Started the first two games of the season against UNI and Youngstown State and also saw action against Morehead State… Passed for a season-high 101 yards including a 61-yard completion in the season opener on Aug. 31 at UNI… Member of PFL Academic Honor Roll… Earned Valparaiso University Presidential Academic Honors.
2023: Played in five games and made four starts at quarterback... Went 55-of-91 passing for 702 yards and six touchdowns... Made his collegiate debut on Oct. 21 at Davidson with 187 passing yards on 9-of-12 through the air, three touchdowns and no interceptions while playing only the second half... Had a season-high 15 completions on 21 attempts totaling 126 yards on Nov. 4 vs. Dayton while recording a pair of TD tosses... Earned the team’s Most-Improved Player Award.
2022: Did not see game action in his first season on campus... Retained four years of eligibility.
Prep: Two-year varsity letter winner... All-conference as a senior... Went 19-of-29 through the air for 259 yards and two passing touchdowns in a 35-33 win over Marist in a 2021 semifinal playoff game... Team captain as a senior... Also played basketball as a freshman and three years of lacrosse... Academic all-conference honoree.
Personal: Majoring in marketing... Son of Jim and Michelle Keefe... Has one sibling, James... Father Jim played football at Loras College from 1989-1991... Enjoys hunting, fishing and competition... His aunt and uncle live in the Valpo area...
