After wrapping up an accomplished four-year career as a member of the Valparaiso University tennis team, Moira Silva remained with the program as a graduate assistant coach beginning with the 2026-27 season.
A native of Houston, Silva finished her career with a 68-38 (.654) singles record, the second-most singles victories and seventh-best singles winning percentage in program history. She closed her career with a 57-46 (.553) doubles record, ranking third in program history in career doubles wins and eighth in career doubles winning percentage. Her .652 doubles winning percentage as a senior ranked tied for 10th in single-season program history.
The Fall 2022 MVC Flight 2 Singles Champion, Silva was a 15-time MVC weekly award winner (eight singles, seven doubles) during her accomplished career. She graduated from Valpo last month with her bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) and will pursue her doctor of nursing practice (DNP) while serving as a graduate assistant coach for the Beacons.
