2023-24: Went 17-11 in singles and picked up 11 doubles wins... Had a 12-8 singles record in dual matches including a 4-2 conference clip... Started the season with eight straight singles victories... Won the Flight 5 Singles title at the Illinois State Invite on Oct. 1... Picked up conference singles wins over Belmont (April 6), UNI (April 7), Missouri State (April 14) and UIC (April 21), all in straight sets... Part of a conference doubles win over Drake on March 23... Earned the team’s Academic Award after finishing her sophomore year with a perfect 4.00 cumulative grade point average while studying biology and chemistry... Named to the MVC Scholar-Athlete Second Team... Earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors... Presented with the Dean’s Award for the College of Arts and Sciences in addition to earning Valparaiso University Presidential Academic honors.
2022-23: Went 9-4 overall in singles and 7-1 in dual matches during her freshman season… Had an 8-17 doubles mark… Won her final five singles matches of the season including a conference victory over Missouri State on April 15… Named the team’s Valpo Award winner, an honor bestowed upon the individual who best exemplifies work ethic, attitude, determination, passion being a great teammate and being teachable and coachable… Earned ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition.
Prep: 2020 Wisconsin girls singles state champion... 2020 Wisconsin girls team state champion... 2019 Wisconsin girls team state runner-up.
Personal: Was a competitive rower for Milwaukee Rowing Club and was a national qualifier... Has a twin sister, Lauren, who is a collegiate rower at Temple University... Daughter of Jeff and Julie Sobieski... Majoring in biochemistry.
