2024: Stopped the clock in 44.02 seconds in the 300 on Dec. 9 at the Edmunds-Wilt Invite, the fourth-fastest time in program history… Also had a PR of 1:23.89 in the 500 at the Edmunds-Wilt Invite… Part of two individual races (200, 400) and one relay (4x400) at both the MVC Indoor and Outdoor Championships… Earned Valparaiso University Presidential Academic Honors.

2023: Had the second-best indoor 300 time in program history at 44.41 at the Blue Demon Alumni Classic… Posted the team’s best indoor 400 time of the season of 1:01.42 at the GVSU Big Meet… Posted her best outdoor 200 time of the year at the MVC Outdoor Championships with a 26.86… Led the team in the outdoor 400 with a 59.65 at the Clark Wood Open on April 28.

Prep: Helped Chesterton cross country to the following championships – conference (2020, 2021), sectional (2020), regional (2020, 2021) and semistate (2020, 2021)... Team finished third at the 2021 IHSAA cross country state finals... Was one of the seven runners to participate in the postseason as well as medal in the state finals... Team captain as a senior in cross country... Helped Chesterton track & field to three sectional championships (2019, 2021, 2022)... Ran varsity all four years... Was part of the 2021 4x4 team that placed ninth at the IHSAA track & field state finals, the second-fastest relay team in Chesterton history... Part of the 2022 4x4 relay that finished 10^th at the IHSAA track & field state finals that missed medaling by .006 of a second... Captain of the track & field team her senior year... Started swimming competitively at age 5... Was a two-time state champion in swimming, once in the breaststroke and once in the 200 medley relay... Continued to swim until her freshman year... Member of the honor roll all four years of high school... Member of National Honor Society.

Personal: Majoring in nursing... Daughter of Bruce Smith and Debra Kahn... Has one sister, Alexandra Smith... Hobbies include running, working out, spending time with family and friends, going to the beach, watching the sunset and playing with her dog, Lacey... Had kidney surgery in 2017... Played basketball when she was younger... Loves sunsets.
