Valparaiso continues to be ranked among the nation’s best bowling programs, rising one spot to #12 in the latest iteration of the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) poll.

The Crusaders have now been ranked in the top-20 in the nation in all nine NTCA polls since the program’s start last season.  Valpo opened this season at #11 in the preseason poll and was #13 in December polling.  The Crusaders totaled 184 points in the most recent poll, their highest point total of the 2010-2011 campaign.

Valparaiso has one more regular season tournament remaining, scheduled for Mar. 18-20 at the Music City Classic in Nashville, Tenn.  The Crusaders are fighting for one of eight spots in the 2011 NCAA Bowling Championship.
