The Valpo bowling team wrapped up its first tournament of the spring semester on Sunday in New Castle, Del., competing in a trio of best-of-seven baker matches to finish up the Northeast Classic.

How It Happened
- Valpo opened the bracket play against #RV Wright State, but ran into a buzzsaw, as the Raiders averaged 221.3 to win 4-0. The Beacons posted a 211 in the first game of the match.
- The loss dropped the Beacons into a matchup versus #RV Niagara, where they fell 4-0 to the Purple Eagles.
- Valpo closed out tournament play against #22 Delaware State. A 211 in game one and a 201 in game four had the Beacons tied 2-2 through four games with DSU, but DSU claimed the final two games for a 4-2 win.
- Valpo finished the tournament in 16th place.
