By virtue of its dramatic victory over Bradley in the regular season finale, the Valpo volleyball team clinched the second seed for the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament and the corresponding bye into a tournament semifinal, which Valpo will host at the ARC Saturday, Nov. 22 at 6 p.m.
 
Saturday's win closed out the Beacons' regular season with a 12-4 record in MVC play, tied for second place in the conference standings. It marked Valpo's best conference record and highest conference finish since joining the Valley. The Beacons earned the second seed by winning the tiebreaker against Drake, as Valpo won the lone head-to-head matchup in the regular season with the Bulldogs.
 
Valpo's opponent for the semifinal match will be determined Wednesday evening, as the winner between third-seeded Drake and sixth-seeded Belmont will advance to the ARC. Tickets for the semifinal, which are on sale now, are $10 for adults — including Valpo faculty and staff — and $5 for children 10 and under. Groups of 10 or more can purchase tickets at a group rate of $5 apiece. Valpo students can access their free ticket within their student pass in their digital wallet, while students at other MVC member institutions will be admitted free of charge by showing their school ID at the gate.
