The Valparaiso University Department of Athletics has continued its academic success as the NCAA released Graduation Success Rate (GSR) data for this year's cohort. Valpo boasted an overall GSR of 93 percent, an increase from last year's 92 percent and tied for the department's highest GSR in the last 12 years.
 
The Beacons had 11 programs turn in perfect GSR scores of 100 for the current cohort – baseball, men's cross country/track & field, men's golf, men's swimming, women's basketball, bowling, women's golf, soccer, women's swimming, tennis and volleyball.
 
This marks the fourth straight year that Valpo Athletics has boasted a GSR of 92 or better. The department has posted a GSR of 82 or better every year since the NCAA began compiling these figures with the incoming freshman class of 1995. The most recent Division-I Graduation Success Rates are based on the four entering classes from 2015-2018.
