The #25 Valpo bowling team closed out the regular season Sunday morning on the final day of competition at the Big Red Invitational in Lincoln, Neb., winning both of their matches.

How It Happened
- Valpo opened Sunday's action, contested in the best-of-seven baker format, against Quincy and rolled to a 4-0 victory. The Beacons posted their best single-game score of the day in game three with a 256, and followed with a 207 to close out the sweep.
- The Beacons finished up the tournament against Elmhurst, jumping out to a 3-0 lead — including a 235 in game two and 223 in game three. The Blue Jays took games four and five to extend the match, but Valpo shut the door in game six to complete a 4-2 win.
- Valpo finished the tournament in fifth place out of the eight competing teams.

Valpo (43-42) takes a step back from competition to prepare for the 2025 Conference USA Championship. The conference tournament takes place in Harahan, La. and begins Wednesday, March 19.
