The Valpo bowling team moved up one spot to #24 as the National Tenpin Coaches Association released its March iteration of the national top-25 poll Thursday.
 
The Beacons closed out the regular season last month with competition at the Flyer Classic and the Big Red Invitational, posting a 7-4 record at the latter event. Valpo owns a 43-42 record and is on pace to break the program record for single-season traditional match average.
 
The Conference USA Championship kicks off in two weeks from Harahan, La., with the tournament champion earning the conference's automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.
