After serving as one of the catalysts to the Valparaiso University men's basketball team's improbable run to the Arch Madness semifinals as a No. 11 seed, freshman All Wright has been named to the Missouri Valley Conference All-Tournament Team.
 
Wright became the third Valpo player to earn MVC All-Tournament Team honors since Valpo joined the league prior to the 2017-18 season, following John Kiser (2019-20) and Javon Freeman-Liberty (2019-20).
 
In Valpo's three games in St. Louis, Wright averaged 25.0 points per game while knocking down 15 3-pointers, one shy of tying a tournament record and second in the history of the event. Wright made six 3s in Friday's quarterfinal vs. UNI and again in Saturday's semifinal vs. Bradley. He scored at least 22 points in each game in the tournament.
 
Wright, named the MVC Freshman of the Year prior to the tournament, helped Valpo become the first No. 11 seed to reach the semifinal round since the league expanded to 12 teams.
