The Valpo bowling program is ranked #21 nationally in the preseason top-25 poll conducted by the National Tenpin Coaches Association, as released by the organization on Thursday.
 
The Beacons remain ranked exactly where they were ranked in last season's end-of-season poll. Valpo earned its #21 spot at the end of last season after completing a 50-37 campaign, posting the fourth-highest winning percentage in program history. The Beacons broke single-season scoring average records for both baker and traditional play.
 
First-year head coach Torrie Bartalone, an All-American on the lanes for Valpo, returns seven bowlers from last year's squad and welcomes a pair of freshmen to the program this year as well.
