- The Sycamores poured on five more in the fourth, three in the fifth and three in the sixth as they posted crooked numbers in five of the first six frames.
- Redshirt senior Dylan Immel (Brownsville, Wis. / Lomira) was a bright spot for the Valpo pitching staff. He retired the side in order in the top of the seventh including a pair of strikeouts.
- The Beacons got on the board in the bottom of the seventh as Brayden Pleau (Appleton, Wis. / Kimberly) lashed a two-run single. Sullivan followed with a two-bagger, but the Beacons stranded two in scoring position in the final frame.
