Four players from the Valpo softball program received Academic All-District honors from College Sports Communicators on Tuesday, recognizing their work in the classroom.
 
Cadan Brinkman owns a 3.576 GPA as a biology major, Kayden Krug has a 3.923 GPA as an elementary education major, Sydney McDermott carried a 3.671 GPA as a health sciences (pre-PA) major and Caitlyn Quickle has a 3.518 GPA as an exercise science major.
 
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District recognition, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically with at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA. Softball position players must have played at least 90% or started at least 66% of the team's games, while pitchers must have made at least 17 appearances or pitched at least 35 innings.
