The Valparaiso University Department of Athletics has announced plans for the fourth annual summer Coaches Tour, which will kick off on Tuesday, June 2 before a full day of activities on Wednesday, June 3.
 
Head coaches from every Valpo program and members of the Valpo Athletics staff will tour the community to help generate buzz for the upcoming 2026-2027 athletics season. The four public stops on the tour will represent an opportunity for fans to have personalized access to each of the department's head coaches.
 
Stop #1: Kickoff to the Coaches Tour
Valpo Summer Movie – Central Park Plaza

Help us launch the Coaches Tour at Central Park Plaza during Valpo Summer Movie Night! Meet Valpo coaches, say hello, and kick off a great summer of community fun.
 
Stop #2: Live Radio Show
Wings Etc. – Valparaiso

Enjoy lunch and listen in on our live radio show. Stop by to hear from coaches and staff while enjoying great food and conversation.
 
Stop #3: Free Scoops!
Valpo Velvet

3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Everyone who visits Valpo Velvet during the event will receive a free scoop of ice cream — served by Valpo Head Coaches!
 
Stop #4: Bowling Party
Inman's Bowling & Recreation Center

Join Valpo Athletics for a fun-filled bowling party! Meet our head coaches and mascot, Beacon, pick up free swag, and enter to win ticket packs for the 2026-27 season!

Shoe rental not included.
 
In addition to the public-facing stops, the tour will also feature stops at the Valpo Chamber's AM
Valpo event plus several private stops including the Valparaiso police and fire department.
