The Valparaiso University Department of Athletics has announced the addition of three staff members to the department's Campus Recreation & Well-Being area.

Greg Lumb has been named the head club tennis coach as part of the University's recently-launched premier-level club sport program. In addition,
Danielle Heinz has been named Valorant Head Coach as part of Valpo Esports, while
Lyna Vasquez has been named Graduate Assistant for Fitness and Wellness.

Lumb brings a wealth of coaching experience to the club, having previously coached NCAA Division-II, NCAA Division-III and high school. Lumb also has been a USPTA Certified Tennis Teaching Professional for over 20 years. Outside of coaching, he enjoys feeding birds and walking his four dogs.

Heinz enters her second season of collegiate coaching experience after previously coaching at Otterbein University. As a member of the Valparaiso University Valorant team during her senior year of college (2024-25), she brings firsthand competitive experience along with a strong focus on team development, communication and strategic improvement. Outside of esports, she works in a research and development laboratory, applying a problem-solving approach that carries over into coaching and player development.

In Vasquez's role, she oversees the campus fitness center staff, the group fitness program and marketing for the department. A four-year member of the Valpo softball team and a recent 2026 graduate from Valparaiso University with a Bachelor's of Arts in sports management, Vasquez will be enrolled in the sports administration master's program at Valpo.
