Five members of the Valparaiso University baseball team were recognized with Academic All-District Team status, which was announced by College Sports Communicators on Tuesday.

Gavin Bennett (Libertyville, Ill. / Libertyville), redshirt senior RHP
Justin Bultemeier (Decatur, Ind. / Adams Central), redshirt junior infielder
Thomas Cooper (Brentwood, Tenn. / Ravenwood), redshirt senior catcher
Eli Riley (Zanesville, Ind. / Norwell) and redshirt sophomore infielder
Case Sullivan (Carmel, Ind. / Carmel) all earned the honor. The same five student-athletes were named to the MVC Scholar-Athlete Team last month.
Bennett graduated from the University of Illinois with a 3.54 cumulative GPA in finance and owns a 4.00 toward his graduate certificate in business economics at Valpo. Bultemeier graduated from Indiana University Kokomo with a 3.96 GPA in health sciences and owns a 3.90 toward his graduate certificate in public health from Valpo. Cooper owns a 3.72 GPA in finance, while Sullivan boasts a 3.70 GPA in marketing. Riley graduated from the University of Saint Francis with a 3.63 in management and possesses a 3.50 toward his MBA at Valpo.
