Two members of the Valparaiso University women's golf team were recognized this week as the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) released its 2025-26 All-American Scholar Team.  
 
Senior Katelyn McCoy (Chesterton, Ind. / Chesterton) and freshman Maddie Soffin (Chesterton, Ind. / Chesterton) were among the 1,551 women nationally who earned this honor. In order to achieve a place on the team, student-athletes must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher and have played in 50 percent of the team's competition rounds.
