2023: Played in all 11 games and made nine starts... Posted 30 tackles including 15 solos, three tackles for loss and two sacks... Had two QB hurries... Had a season-high five tackles on three occasions – Sept. 23 vs. Marist, Oct. 21 at Davidson and Nov. 18 at St. Thomas.
2022: Named the team’s Newcomer of the Year... Played in all 12 games... Had 23 tackles (eight solos), 2.5 TFL, two sacks and three QB hurries... Had two sacks on Oct. 8 at Presbyterian... Had a season-high five tackles on Oct. 29 at Dayton.
Prep: Four-year varsity letterwinner... Team MVP, first team all-state performer at defensive tackle, three-time first team all-league honoree at DT, two-time first team all-league offensive lineman... Helped his team to a 10-2 record as a senior... Had 10 tackles on senior night and delivered what he called the hardest hit of his career... Played lacrosse as a freshman and sophomore... Team captain on the gridiron as a senior.
Personal: Majoring in engineering... Son of Dan and Angie Chastain... Has a younger brother, Lochlan... Father was a catcher at the University of Portland, was drafted out of high school by the Montreal Expos in the 57th round of the 1991 MLB Draft and played minor league baseball in the Marlins organization... Can speak Spanish... Enjoys lifting, being outdoors and playing video games.
