2023 Scout Team Special Teams Player of the Year
2024: Played in 11 games and made one start… Blocked two kicks during the season, one of only 22 players nationally in FCS with multiple blocked kicks… Had 13 tackles including five solos, 1.5 tackles for loss and one sack… Also had one pass breakup… Boasted a season-high five tackles in the Aug. 31 season opener at UNI… Blocked kicks on Sept. 28 at Morehead State and Nov. 16 at Dayton… Earned the team’s Scholar-Athlete Award… Garnered College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors.
2023: Did not see game action... Named the team’s Scout Team Special Teams Player of the Year.
2022: Did not see game action in his first season on campus... Retained four years of eligibility.
Prep: Three-year varsity letter winner... Three-time all-conference performer... 2020 Division Defensive Player of the Year, 2021 Division Player of the Year, National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete Award... Had 4.5 sacks, seven tackles, nine QB hurries, a forced fumble, 150 rushing yards and four TDs in a game vs. Carmel during his senior season... Also competed in four years of wrestling and two years of baseball... Served as a two-year wrestling captain and as a team captain in football as both a freshman and senior... Four-year honor roll member, top four in his graduating class in terms of grade point average and Illinois state scholar.
Personal: Majoring in engineering... Son of Katherine and John Goworowski... Has two sisters, Ella and Lilly... Hobbies include playing spike ball... Has never seen Star Wars, Rocky, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones or Caddyshack.
