2025: Earned All-MVC Honorable Mention… Achieved the Valparaiso University Male Perseverance Award… Led the Missouri Valley Conference in strikeouts (80) and innings pitched (95 2/3)… Was the first Valpo player to lead the league in innings pitched since 2018 and strikeouts since 2022… Had the team’s highest innings total since 2019 and highest strikeout total since 2022… Earned three wins and issued just 20 walks while posting an ERA of 6.59 in 14 games (all starts)… Struck out seven or more five times… Logged at least six innings in 12 of his 14 starts and went at least eight innings five times… Did not issue a walk in four different starts and walked one or fewer in nine of his 14 starts… Allowed four runs (three earned) on seven hits in seven innings, racking up a career-high 11 strikeouts against no walks on Feb. 22 at Memphis… Picked up his first victory of the season with 6 2/3 innings of five-run, seven-hit ball on March 7 at Ohio State, working walk-free baseball for the third time in four starts… Named the MVC Pitcher of the Week on March 24 after pitching Valpo to its first win over Indiana State since 2007 on March 21, ending a 25-game head-to-head losing streak. He allowed no earned runs (three total runs) on five hits and one walk while striking out 10 over seven innings against the defending Missouri Valley Conference regular-season champions… Threw his second complete game of the season and the third of his career on April 4 vs. Illinois State, scattering seven hits while allowing two runs, walking one and striking out six. Valpo fell 2-1 as Lockwood took the tough-luck loss… Put together another strong start on April 11 at first-place Missouri State, receiving no decision after going eight innings and allowing four runs on six hits while walking two and striking out seven. He worked eight or more innings for the third time this season and struck out seven or more for the fourth time this year, surpassing his 2024 season team-leading strikeout total of 50… Received no decision, working 8 2/3 innings on April 17 vs. Murray State, striking out nine and pitching at least eight innings for the fourth time this season and third straight start… Yielded just one earned run over six innings on April 25 at Belmont… Went eight innings and scattered eight hits while walking just one and striking out five on May 2 vs. UIC. He was charged with three runs (two earned). He went at least eight innings for the fourth time in his last five starts… Struck out eight and issued no walks in six innings in the May 9 game at Bradley. His strikeout total marked his third-highest of the season and this marked the fourth time this season that he worked at least six innings and issued no walks… Picked up the win in his final start of the season on May 16 vs. Southern Illinois.
2024: Made 12 appearances, all starts, as a member of the weekend rotation... Posted a 5.94 ERA while striking out 50 and walking 23 over 63 2/3 innings... Had a 2-4 record... Made his season debut on March 1 at Elon after beginning the year on the shelf due to recovery from Tommy John surgery... Worked five shutout innings of four-hit ball on March 8 at The Citadel... Fired a complete game to beat Bradley on March 30 while walking none, striking out nine and yielding two runs over the nine innings... Named MVC Pitcher of the Week on April 1, becoming the second Valpo pitcher to own multiple career Missouri Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week awards... Twirled six shutout innings of two-hit ball on April 27 at UIC... Led the team in innings pitched and tied for the team lead in strikeouts.
2023: Made six starts as a member of the weekend rotation before suffering a season-ending injury… Named MVC Pitcher of the Week on Feb. 20 after lifting the team to a power-5 victory over Kansas with seven shutout innings of two-hit ball while walking none and striking out six. He sent down the final 16 Jayhawk batters that he faced in the game, helping Valpo to its first power-5 win in five years… Logged 36 innings while posting a 5.25 ERA, walking 13 and striking out 32… Posted a 2-2 record.
2022: Made 13 appearances including six starts while striking out 30 and walking 12 over 40 2/3 innings... Finished the season with an 0-5 record and 7.30 ERA, but did his best work late in the year, posting a 1.80 ERA over his last three regular-season starts... Pitched three scoreless innings of one-hit ball on May 7 vs. DBU before working 2 2/3 shutout frames while allowing one hit on May 13 vs. Bradley.
Prep: Earned all-conference honors and was named co-conference player of the year in 2021… Also received all-state accolades for the 2021 campaign… Three-year varsity letter winner… Also played basketball as a freshman.
